FORMER PRESIDENT GEORGE W. BUSH RECOVERING AFTER SUCCESSFUL OPERATION TO REMOVE ARTERY BLOCKAGE
Washington, DC (MorichesDaily) – Former president George W. Bush, 67, underwent a procedure to have a stent placed into heart to cleat a blockage in his artery.
The operation was performed successfully this morning at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital. His office said he is recovering from heart surgery in Texas.
The blockage was discovered in the artery of his heart. He is expected to be released from hospital tomorrow and resume his normal schedule on Thursday.
He is said to be “high spirits” after the surgery.
A written statement said a “blockage was discovered in an artery in his heart” during the former president’s annual physical exam.
“The procedure was performed successfully this morning, without complication, at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital,” his office said.
“President Bush is in high spirits, eager to return home tomorrow and resume his normal schedule on Thursday. He is grateful to the skilled medical professionals who have cared for him.
He thanks his family, friends, and fellow citizens for their prayers and well wishes. And he encourages us all to get our regular check-ups.”
The blockage was found during Bush’s annual physical examination at the Cooper Clinic in Dallas on Monday.
