BROOKLYN, NY (MorichesDaily) — NYC EMS confirms two women have been shot this morning in the Flatbush section of Brooklyn.

Officials say one of the women was shot in the head, and other one was shot in the chest. One of them is in critical condition.

The shooting took place shortly before 10 a.m.

The women, one in her 30s and another in her 60s, were shot shortly before 10 a.m. in a building on East 25th Street about five blocks from Brooklyn College.

The older woman was shot in the chest and taken to the hospital in critical condition; the younger woman suffered a graze wound to the head and was taken to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries, law enforcement sources said.

Law enforcement sources identified the male relative suspected of shooting them as the older woman’s brother and said he is in police custody.

Last Saturday, a woman was forced into an alleyway near East 27th Street by Brooklyn College and raped.

Police are still searching for the suspect in that incident.

Students at the Flatbush campus say they’ve been on edge since the attack.
