A two-car crash in North Babylon sent two women to the hospital, one in serious condition, Suffolk police said. (Jan.19, 2013)
NORTH BABYLON, NY (MorichesDaily) — Suffolk County Police are investigating a 2-car crash that seriously injured a woman in North Babylon Friday afternoon.
Around 4:30 p.m., Jane Evans-Parker was driving her 2000 Honda CRV west on Weeks Road, when she struck a 2001 Dodge Caravan which was exiting from the Pathmark shopping center, driven by another woman.
Evans-Parker, 65, of West Islip, was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center, in West Islip, in serious condition.
The other driver was also transported to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center, where she was treated for non-life threatening injuries and released.
Police said no apparent crime was involved but both vehicles were impounded for safety checks as a precaution.
The investigation is continuing and anyone who may have witnessed the incident is asked to contact First Squad detectives at (631) 854-8152.
