Ronkonkoma, N.Y. — Suffolk County Police Fourth Squad detectives are investigating a motor vehicle crash that killed a pedestrian in Ronkonkoma Saturday evening.
Police say Angela Jozwicki, 28 of Centereach, was driving a 1999 Infiniti northbound on Ronkonkoma Avenue on Saturday evening just south of the Long Island Expressway South Service Road, when she struck an unidentified white man.
The accident happened at around 5 p.m., and local streets were closed for an investigation.
The victim was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital where he later died from his injuries. The driver of the car was not injured.
No charges have been filed in the case. The Infiniti was impounded for a safety check, police said.
